EVENT CENTRE at Paimio´s School Centre

The Event Centre in the heart of Paimio will be opened on Sunday, July 13th at 8.00 and closed on Saturday, July 19th at 18.00.

All either in the Event Centre or otherweise through the organizers accommodated guests must register at the so called arrival info in Kaaritie. This info stand will be open 8-22 on Sunday 13th and Monday 14th.

Those accommodated in the caravan and tent area should mainly use the sanitary facilities at the School Centre although there are smaller wash and toilet facilities at the camping area. The necessary waste containers are there too. Outside the shower rooms there are places for laundering.

In the rooms, walking in o-shoes is strictly forbidden

The indoor swimming pool SOLINA at the School Centre, will be open daily 13-20. Adults FIM 15, children FIM 8.

Household and drinking water available at specially marked points.

As the Event Centre and the camping area are located in the heart of Paimio, the guests of the orienteering week will certainly adjust themselves to the general night time quiet hours from 23 to 06.

Open fires at the area are strictly forbidden

are located at the Event Centre at Paimio´s School Centre.
INFO serves daily from Saturday to Saturday as well in the Event Centre as in the competition sites on all competition days.

THE RESTAURANTS AT THE EVENT CENTRE

is located in the School Centre. Breakfast, dinner and evening meal are served there daily.

There is also a beer-terrace and a coffee house open every evening.

There will be a restaurant in both competition centres serving food, coffee, grill products, soft drinks and pancakes.

Paimio Osuuspankki has its service point in the Competition Centres. Money can be withdrawn with the bank card.

CLUB TENTS

Places for club tents are reserved and specially marked at the Competition Centres.

Overnighting in the competition sites is forbidden.

There are showers near the Finish, toilets at the Competition Centres and in the starting area.

To Paimio Competition Centre it takes about 15 minutes and to that of Sauvo about 30 minutes.
The busses leave at the Paimio School Centre (Event Centre) and at the Competition Centres in marked places.

Tickets available at the INFOS at Event and Competition Centres and in the parking areas.

On Monday the tickets are controlled at the exit, on other days the tickets should be visible on the car windows and will be controlled at the arrival.

RESULT BULLETIN

will be printed as a pull-out supplement of the Salon Seudun Sanomat and it is available on the following morning after each competition day at the Event and Competition Centres. Final results of the week will be sent to those who leave name and address plus FIM 15 for mailing cost, at the INFO.

COMMEMORATIVE MEDALS

Every participant receives his/hers medal on Wednesday at the Finish.

The three first competitions are held in Paimio (ca.10 km from the Event Centre)
The fourth and the fifth in Sauvo (ca 20 km from the Event Centre).

MAPS
The maps are five colour orienteering maps issued 1997.Scale 1:10000 in all categories.

STARTS
Competitors receive their start numbers at the start of the first competition. Starts 2-4 D21E/H21E in reverse order and start 5 is a chasing start in all elitclasses.

PRIZES
The class winners will be awarded in the daily competitions; 3-15 best all over runners in every class as well. Every participant gets a commemorative medal.
In classes D21E/H21E there will be sports stipends amounting to 10 000,6 000,4 000,3 000.2 000,1 000 Fim for the six best runners.
